Practice and Meet Information
Saturday Meets start at 7am - typically 6am arrival time swimmers age 13 & up
- typically 6:30am arrival time swimmers age 12 & under
Items to Bring - at least 2 towels, swim cap & goggles (extra if possible for back-up), warm clothes/blankets, water, healthy snacks, sunblock, sunglasses, hat, umbrella (the Wave has a team tent for away meets), cash for concessions
Younger Swimmers - parents, write your swimmers events & lane assignment on inside of arm with a permanent marker (this helps with heating & herding)
Pay Attention! - listen to announcer and follow the event board, sometimes events and heats are combined, *download the Swimtopia app to keep track of events and your swimmer's events
Ask More Experienced Parents & Swimmers - It can be overwhelming when you're new to swimming, but we are all here to help and have fun!
Morning Practices are Monday-Friday as follows:
| Ages 13+ | Warm up - 6:50am | Practice 7:00am-7:50am |
| Ages 9-12 | Warm up - 7:45am | Practice 8:00am-8:50am |
| Ages 8 and under | Warm up - 8:45am | Practice 9:00am-9:50am |
| Mini Wavers Level 1 | (Beginning Minis - getting used to water, putting face in water, not swimming independently, beginning stroke technique) Practice 8:00am-8:30am |
| Mini Wavers Level 2 | (Intermediate Minis - starting to swim independently, developing stroke technique) Practice 8:30am-9:00am |
| Mini Wavers Level 3 | (Transitional/Advanced Minis - swimming independently, honing strokes, building stamina to cross length of pool for meets, this is structured as a transition class for the swim team!) Practice 9:00am-9:30am |
